FS JSC specializes in manufacturing, supplying domestic and
imported pre-fabricated vertical and horizontal drains (PVDs, PHDs). In
addition, with five modern PVDs installation machines, from Japan or Korea, our
company also implement improving the weak soil ground to meet the needs
projects from small to large.

I. Design and installation
PVDs installation machines with depth up to 48m, adapted
many geological terrains. The capacity of each machine is 10,000 meters per
day, so ensuring the productivity of up to 50,000 meters per day. The company
has been involved in the improvement weak soil ground by PVDs for the
Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing ??40 hectas, IHI factory 20 Ha., and participate
in large projects such as Tan Vu bridges, Cat Hai district, Hai Phong, 477 road,
Phap Van - Cau Gie Connection Road (Ninh Binh) ....
The company has a team of engineers, technicians and
technical workers with many years of experience in the field of constructions as
industry, transportation, irrigation and maritime works as well as the field of
manufacture and installation. PVDs installation machines are equipped with
modern equipment, synchronous, height frame to 40 meters and automatic measurement
system. The company has met the requirements of the dometic and oversea
projects.
FS Construction JSC. also is a direct importer of PVDs from
Korea and Thailand with international quality standards products, which can be
delivered within 10-15 days from the date of order.
II. Vertical and Horizontal Drains
Vertical and horizontal drains is a geotextile material used
to drain water to increase the consolidation of the ground. The drains is
composed of two layers: Filter layer called filter cloth made of non-woven PP
or 100% PET geotextile fabric, without any binder and PP drainage, with
drainage on both sides.
A. Vertical Drains
1. Improvement of weak soil ground:
PVDs (Prefabricated Vertical Drains), used to treat weak
ground, accelerates the consolidation and increases the intensity of weak soil,
creating a stable surface for the construction of next items of works. The
consolidation of the soil can be accelerated by pre-loading or by vacuum
technology.
Stable the ground:
The works can apply PVDs or Horizontal drains to handle a
variety of weak soil, including: highway, bridge leading, airport runway,
railway, harbour, petroleum depot ... constructions on soft ground with width distribution
loads.

2. Horizontal drains
* Composition of horizontal drains.
- Horizontal are shaped the same ordinary vertical drains
but larger in size
- Horizontal drains have common types of cross section as
follows: 8.0mm x 150mmm; 8.0 mm x 200 mm; 8.0mm x 300mm; 8.0mm x 600mm
- Structure of horizontal drains including 2 main parts:
The Core: Structured into drains, usually made of polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) or polyolefin;
Filter cloths: Used to drain water from the ground through
the core drainage, usually made of Polyester (non-woven).

* Characteristics of horizontal drains
Pore water is absorbed through the filter cloth and
drained into the heart of the drains. Due to this characteristic, even when the
horizontal drains is expanded, the drainage capacity is maintained.
- This is a material with high tensile strength and
elongation while fixed free movement of the core and filter cloth so that it
can deform according to the change of terrain due to subsidence.
- The drainage is not only lightweight and easy to transport
but also does not require any special bonding material!
* Application range:
- Type of soil: Apply to fine sandy soils, clay
- Load: Load capacity is over 250kN/ m2 equivalent to the
height of 14 meters
* Application:
- Embankment: Replacement for sand bed and filter sand
- Sports area, golf course, sports grounds
- Other applications replace embankment blocks and prevent
seepage
